He’ll be needing it this cold weather, especially as he almost had a haircut. I don’t need one as I tend not to sweat and with my fluffy coat I make a very good teddy bear . Trilby does get a bit sweaty (not that he ever works that hard) but it seems clippers are now on his list of terrifying monsters, so his haircut had to be abandoned before he injured somebody in self-defence. (What a big girl)
We haven’t seen all that much of Mum and Nanny this month as Grandad has been poorly. He had to go into hospital but he’s much better now. We were a bit sad at the lack of treats but I understand that we have to take care of little old men - even grumpy ones (especially grumpy old men - editor)
Did you enjoy the snow? We had some excellent snowball fights and there was a very impressive snow penguin by the outdoor school. It wasn’t so good sliding on the ice and the river got very fast when it all melted. I’ve a feeling there’ll be some more soon. Lucky we can go indoors for lessons so you don’t have to cancel your rides.
Claire has moved into her new house now - just in time for the cold weather, so everyone will be nice and cosy through the winter months. I have heard that eating is a very good way to keep warm, so hope there will be lots of extra food - particularly for the older ponies on the yard (I hope not - less work -less food - editor).
Anyway, better start writing my New Year Resolutions (though I think I may just recycle the old ones - maximum food and mischief, minimum work). Hope to see you all in the New Year. Happy 2010
Love Benson
