We ponies are all very pleased that Claire has bought lots of hay (at enormous cost-editor) to fill our tummies. I think it’s meant to be for the winter (the next 2 winters-editor) but we’re eating it at the moment because there’s not enough grass. I know you may not agree with this but we really do need lots of rain to make the grass grow. I bet your mums don’t want it to rain too much during the school holidays, but perhaps we could arrange for it to rain just at the right time.
I think I got my message across last month as I’ve been out on a few more hacks lately. It’s great fun once the harvest is in as we get to canter in the stubble fields.
You’ll be pleased to know that Trilby and Nanny are doing the Dressage this month. I wish I could watch them so I could laugh at them. It’s good because they can’t laugh at me as I’m too old to do the competitions now. I still do the Jim Carner games on Pony Week though.
I think it’s a pity they don’t let the ponies do the apple bobbing. It’s not fair having to trot up the school then watch you eating all the apples. Actually, some people do share them with us ponies which is really good.
Well must go now. Time to go in the field and see if there’s any mischief we can get up to.
